Design & Build
Designing a new web site is exciting - for us and hopefully for you too! We will ask you about your design preferences, for instance your colour choices, and we can send you a colour chart if you wish. We can use your logo if you have one, and it would be great if you had a good selection of images, but if not, we'll work with whatever you can provide. Alternatively, stock images may be suitable for a small extra cost.
Your design will be unique to you as we do not use templates. We will show you an initial page for your comments, and most clients are delighted with this first design, but if you would like to make some changes, that's not a problem. Once you have approved the design of the first page, we will continue building the rest of the site. A web site of around 5 pages can generally be completed and ready for launch within three weeks.
Copywriting
The way in which the text is written is one of the key factors in getting a good position on search engines. We will set the ball rolling by sending you a questionnaire about your product or service, and we will then use the information you send us to write the text for each page, using a variety of tests to ensure that it meets the current "best practice" guidelines for search engines.
Own email address
A dedicated email address keeps your business and personal mail separate, and gives your business a professional impression. Your email address will be the same as your domain name, with your own choice of prefix, for example "enquiries@mybusiness.co.uk"
Search Engine Optimisation
Search engine optimisation is the process by which web sites are made attractive to search engines such as Google. Correct optimisation helps web sites to get to the top of organic search results, although no organisation can guarantee this. A key factor in search engine optimisation is that the web site has good quality content. For most organisations, we normally recommend a web site of at least 5 pages in order to incorporate more content and therefore improve the chances of appearing in the top organic results on search engines.
